Arm Lift

Slimmer, shapelier arms can be achieved with an arm lift, also known as brachioplasty. Ideal for individuals who have undergone dramatic weight loss, arm lift surgery can also benefit those who have sagging upper arms due to the loss of skin elasticity over time. When excess fat, rather than surplus skin, causes the upper arm to appear flaccid, however, liposuction may be the treatment of choice. For some individuals, a combination of both procedures is indicated. During a typical arm lift procedure, Dr. Rabson makes an incision in the upper arm through which he removes fat deposits. Then he trims away the excess skin and meticulously sutures the remaining skin into place to create an attractive arm contour. Finally, the upper arms are wrapped to help reduce postoperative swelling. Although patients may be able to return to work in one week after undergoing brachioplasty, they should take care to avoid strenuous activities for at least two weeks.

Thigh Lift

Typically, a thigh lift involves the excision of excess skin and the removal of troublesome fat deposits with liposuction. Patients whose careers do not involve strenuous activity may return to work approximately a week after their surgeries.
