If you are looking to improve your self-image through breast augmentation, endoscopic breast augmentation is one option. Dr. Rabson no longer prefers to perform breast augmentation with an endoscope but uses other techniques which he feels gives better results in his hands for the benefit of our patients. Dr. Joseph Rabson is renowned for his skill, precision, and innovation in performing breast surgery. Our fully accredited Blue Bell Ambulatory Surgical Center in Plymouth Meeting serves Montgomery County, and Philadelphia, and draws patients from throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Endoscopic breast augmentation uses a small device called an endoscope during the procedure. The endoscope has been widely used in medical procedures for decades, and allows doctors to see a patient's internal structure without the need for large incisions. Composed of two main parts, the endoscope is a relatively simple piece of equipment that offers impressive results. The piece that is inserted into the patient through a small incision is a tubular probe that contains a miniature light and camera. This camera transmits an image to the second part of the endoscope, a viewing screen that allows the surgeon to monitor his or her work. During endoscopic breast augmentation, a small incision in the patient's underarm or navel is required to insert the endoscope. Dr. Rabson opts not to perform endoscopic breast augmentation, as existing methods have been proven to be equally effective.
